Product information

The FX-02 handrail with welded bracket It is designed to provide support when entering and exiting the pool. Its elongated design offers a wider grip area than that provided by compact models, supporting the user for a greater part of the journey.

This feature can be particularly useful when the design of the access point, the depth or the position of the staircase require a longer handrail. Where there is less space at the top of the staircase, it may be worth considering the FX-01 handrail with welded base plate, which has a similar design but is smaller in size.

AISI 316L stainless steel with a polished finish

The FX-02 is made from stainless steel AISI 316L, a material commonly used in swimming pool components due to its performance in damp environments. The high-gloss finish allows it to blend in seamlessly with private, communal and hotel swimming pools, as well as other professional facilities.

To maintain its appearance, it should be cleaned regularly with fresh water and products suitable for stainless steel. Metal scourers, tools contaminated with iron and harsh cleaning products must not be used.

The build-up of chlorine, salt, pH adjusters or construction debris on surfaces should also be avoided. Stainless steel requires proper maintenance and should not be considered completely immune to corrosion.

Welded plates and sacrificial anode

This version is installed using two welded brackets fixed to the coping. The manufacturer confirms that the FX-02 with bracket incorporates a anti-corrosion sacrificial anode, designed to provide additional protection for the assembly.

The anode should be checked regularly and replaced when it shows significant wear. It does not eliminate the need to keep the water properly balanced, nor does it replace the regular cleaning of stainless steel.

The manufacturer’s documentation states that anodes for handrails with a base plate are specifically designed for installations using salt chlorination.

Dimensions and installation planning

The technical drawing of the version with a mounting plate shows an approximate overall length of 1,405 mm, a total height of around 953 mm and a separation of 203 mm between the supports.

These dimensions must be checked before drilling the holes. The fitter must also check the strength of the bracket, its position in relation to the edge and any potential interference with other components.

Career advice

The fixing must be carried out on a structural, stable and level base. Before drilling, it is advisable to check that there are no pipes, wiring or other concealed elements.

You should also check that the fasteners are compatible with the bracket and the pool environment. Do not assume that the fasteners are included until you have confirmed the exact contents of the packaging.
